Roam

You do not need a vegan resort. You need a resort that can feed you well.

A normal all-inclusive can work beautifully if you ask before booking, understand the buffet, talk to the kitchen early, and pack for the gaps.

Ask before bookingTransit food

The resort has to feed you every day.

An all-inclusive trip is different from a city trip. You cannot always walk to a better neighborhood when the buffet is weak. Before booking, you need to know whether the resort can feed you more than fruit, salad, fries, and plain pasta.

A resort does not have to be fully vegan to work. It does need a process: clear communication, kitchen awareness, enough protein, buffet labeling, and at least one person who understands the request when you arrive.

Vague reassurance is not enough. “We accommodate all diets” is a starting point, not an answer.

Ask before booking, then ask again when you arrive.

Before booking, write a simple message: “I eat vegan, so no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey, or animal-derived ingredients. Can the resort provide vegan meals daily, including protein options, and can the restaurants or buffet identify what is safe?”

When you arrive, ask who handles dietary requests and whether the chef or restaurant manager can confirm the plan. The goal is not to make a scene. It is to avoid discovering the problem at dinner.

The resort check.

Use this before choosing an all-inclusive stay.

Real meals

Look for beans, tofu, lentils, grains, vegetables, pasta, rice, potatoes, sauces, and actual mains, not only fruit and salad.

Protein plan

Ask what vegan protein options are available across the stay.

Buffet clarity

Find out whether items are labeled and whether staff can confirm ingredients.

Restaurant process

Ask whether specialty restaurants can handle vegan requests with notice.

Red flags

Be careful with vague answers, no chef contact, no protein plan, or a response that only names salad and fruit.

Look closer

The buffet is a system, not a judgment.

Build from obvious foods, ask once about hidden butter, stock, sauces, and dairy, then repeat the winning combinations. A resort trip should not require a new negotiation at every meal.
