How We Check
The answer has to be checkable.
Vegan labels, menus, materials, formulas, and brand policies change. This is how we check before giving an answer.

What counts as a good answer.
A good answer gives enough information to act and enough context to know when to check again.
A current label or ingredient list
Best for packaged food, personal care, cleaners, supplements, and anything with a formula.
An official product or menu page
Best when a brand or restaurant keeps allergen, ingredient, vegan, or material information online.
A clear certification or policy
Helpful when the certification or policy actually covers the question.
A brand answer
Good when the answer is specific, current, and not just a vague customer-service reassurance.
What gets checked by category.
Different questions need different kinds of proof.
Food and restaurants
Ingredients, cooking mediums, shared equipment when relevant, menu notes, allergen guides, regional differences, and date checked.
Personal care
Animal-derived ingredients, vegan claims, cruelty-free claims, parent-company ambiguity, fragrance/flavor disclosure, and certification limits.
Clothing and home goods
Leather, wool, silk, down, feathers, beeswax, bone, horn, shell, animal hair, trim, fill, backing, adhesives, and vague material names.
Health and body pages
Nutrition, supplement, pregnancy, child-health, bloodwork, and exercise claims need credible sourcing and careful limits.
When the answer is not clear.
The page should say so. Unclear is an answer; it just is not a satisfying one.
When a product, menu item, material, or claim cannot be confirmed, name what is missing and look for the next best check or a more clearly confirmed alternative.
What we do not claim.
Vegan Viviendo does not claim personal testing, long-term use, wear testing, taste testing, product ownership, professional expertise, or permanent certainty unless the page says exactly what happened and what supports it.
Good guidance can be confident and still honest about limits.

Send better information.
If you have a current label, official page, brand answer, menu update, material correction, or source that improves a page, send it through Contact with the page title and date checked.
