Keep
Make the home vegan without making it bare.
The home is where animal materials hide in plain sight: down in pillows, wool in rugs, silk in bedding, leather on furniture, beeswax in candles, and animal-derived pieces in the objects you touch every day.

The home, checked by object.
Most people learn to check food first, then clothing. The home often comes later, even though it is full of materials that can be animal-derived: bedding, pillows, throws, rugs, candles, sofas, chairs, cleaning products, brushes, and small decorative objects.
This room is not about replacing everything you own overnight. It is about knowing what to check the next time you buy, refresh, furnish, clean, host, move, or upgrade.
Start with the next replacement: the pillow when it flattens, the candle when it burns down, the cleaner when the bottle empties, the rug when the room changes, and the sofa before the purchase gets expensive.
Better versions are easier to live with when you choose them for real life, not only for the vegan label.
Start with the object type.
A pillow, candle, sofa, cleaner, and car interior do not need the same vegan check.
Soft goods
Check down, wool, silk, leather trim, feathers, and animal-derived fills in bedding, pillows, throws, rugs, and upholstery.
Scent and candles
Check beeswax, stearic acid, honey notes, dyes, fragrance policy, and whether the vessel or wick has any unclear material issue.
Cleaning and brushes
Check testing claims, animal-derived ingredients, bristles, sponges, leather tabs, and brand policy.
Furniture and mattresses
Check leather, wool batting, down fill, feathers, horsehair, adhesives, coatings, and material disclosures before the purchase gets expensive.

Look closer
The best home choices work in daily life.
A vegan home should feel like a home first: warm, useful, comfortable, personal, and easy to maintain. The check is there to make better choices easier, not to turn every room into a research project.
