A rug can involve wool, silk, leather trim, felt backing, or unclear blends. A car can involve seats, steering wheel, trim, and package differences.
If the answer is vague, ask before buying. A brand that cannot tell you what the thing is made of may not be the right brand for something you have to live with.

Save the material list, brand email, chat transcript, or product page screenshot for anything expensive.
Look closer
The boring question can prevent the expensive regret.
Ask what the material is before you fall in love with the product photo. A beautiful sofa, mattress, or car interior is easier to enjoy when you are not wondering what you bought.
