The Examined Life
Possible and practicable still matters.
Vegan life is not a purity contest. It is a sustained attempt to avoid animal exploitation where we reasonably can while still living in an imperfect world.

Pragmatism over purity.
Possible and practicable carries a lot of wisdom. It admits that we live in a world where medicine, work, family, money, geography, disability, childhood, emergencies, and systems complicate the clean answer.
That does not make the ethic weak. It makes it possible to live with. Consistency over decades matters more than a performance of perfection that collapses in a year.
Pragmatism is not the same as convenience. Convenience says, “this is annoying, so it does not count.” Pragmatism says, “what can I actually do here, what harm can I avoid, and what do I need to accept because the alternative is not realistic?”
Our working view.
The stance under the decision pages.
Avoid harm where you can
Take the ethic seriously without pretending every situation is equally under your control.
Stay honest
Do not hide uncertainty, overclaim, or pretend convenience is moral clarity.
Use examples, not tests
Medication, family meals, secondhand materials, and companion-animal care are places to think, not traps.
Last long
A steady practice prevents more harm than a brittle one.
No gatekeeping
Help people make better decisions; do not make belonging the reward for perfect answers.
